As the concern around COVID-19 intensifies, the elders want to update you on how we are monitoring this situation as a faith community and how we are considering appropriate precautions to protect vulnerable members of our congregation as well as ways we can take care for each other and our community.
In keeping with the direction from our Provincial Government and with Niagara Public Health, our public gatherings are cancelled until further notice. We will update the congregation as soon as we receive word from the authorities that it is safe to gather together. Stay tuned.
Our building will be closed until further notice. If you need to contact Margaret, Noel or any of the staff or leadership please call (905) 563-6311 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will get back to you as soon as possible. We will be unable to receive guests at the building until further notice.
At this time of uncertainty and fear the Gospel calls us to love and to prayer. I pray that our eyes are opened to the Spirit-led opportunities that will present themselves over the next couple of weeks. Check in with your neighbours. Call your friends and offer to help wherever you can.
We will be live broadcasting our Sunday services at 10 am on our YouTube Channel (click here).
I would suggest subscribing to the channel and then clicking the bell icon which will make it easier to find and you will get notifications for when we have live content broadcasting.
We will continue a family-friendly series through the Prison Epistles on Wednesdays at 7pm via Zoom.
It helps to have the Zoom app installed on your phone, tablet or computer, but you can get it to work a couple of other ways.
Our Zoom Meeting ID is: 905 563 6311 with the standard "tintern" password."
If you have any questions call Noel and he will try to assist.
Regarding our children's ministry:
For class materials that you can do at home with your kids, check out our Tintern Kids Facebook Group. If you're not in the group, you can request to be added to the group from the page. You can access it here:
May we be conduits of God's grace at a time when it is greatly needed.
Contributions: If you'd like to continue your contributions to Tintern while we are not meeting at the building, there are several ways to do that.
- You can e-transfer the money to email@example.com. Be sure to include a message in the memo line that the money is for your regular contribution or for something specific (i.e. compassion ministry/building fund, etc.).
- If you do not have pre-authorized debit (PAD) and would like to contribute that way, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and someone will send the paper work to you and help get you enrolled.
- You can [click here] which will take you to Tintern's page on Canada Helps where you can donate and pick the fund you would like to support. (Please not that a portion of your donation amount goes to Canada Helps fees.)
